An honorary title for
Jeroen Klemann
Last week, our dear volunteer Jeroen Klemann was honored in the annual awards ceremony. The mayor of the municipality of Haarlemmermeer appointed Jeroen as a Member of the Order of Orange-Nassau for his dedication to music and tennis. We are incredibly proud of him!
Party
The special gathering took place at the Kunstfort near Vijfhuizen, where Jeroen regularly attends the CruquiusConcerten concerts. His wife had already told him about the special ceremony to avoid it being too much of a surprise.
Jeroen was honored in the presence of his children and grandchildren, family, and friends. The mayor gave an enthusiastic speech and, on behalf of the king, appointed him a Member of the Order of Orange-Nassau. A well-deserved honor for someone who has devoted himself to various initiatives with love and energy for many years!
For example, Jeroen is (or has been) involved with the Quasi Quartetto ensemble, the Corde Vocali ensemble, the Hans Kox Foundation, the In den Boogaerd Tennis Club, the Cruquius Concerts Foundation, and the Musical Instrument Fund.
Of course, music was a must! The town troubadour sang to him in person, and everyone joined in during the chorus. The mayor presented him with a delicious ribbon cake from the local pastry shop.

Jeroen doesn't just contribute financially to the goals of Het Muziekinstrumentenfonds. He also volunteers his time. He has been handling the production of our events since 2022. We couldn’t do without him now!

Did you know that the CruquiusConcerten Foundation has been organizing concerts since 2019 in the warehouse next to the Kunstfort near Vijfhuizen? There is a beautiful Yamaha grand piano from the collection of the Musical Instrument Fund.
