A house concert
where "music
for the
future"
took center stage

On November 7, the Musical Instrument Fund organized an informative house concert. In the distinctive, historic office building in Amsterdam, we welcomed music lovers interested in leaving a legacy to culture. Accompanied by music, we explained what is involved in including a cultural charity in your will.

Filled with inspiration

Guests were welcomed on Sint Annenstraat with coffee, tea, and some treats. Violinist Djuna Dokter, winner of the Coosje Wijzenbeek Prize, and pianist Seán Morgan-Rooney treated the audience to captivating music by Erich Korngold and Arvo Pärt. To complement the compositions, the musicians displayed photographs to enhance the experience of the music. What a wonderful experience!

The performance was followed by an interactive presentation on leaving a bequest to a charity by Cora Hagendijk, a notary at Meijer Notarissen (Amsterdam). Cora provided a clear explanation of the various ways to leave a bequest and the different situations to consider. She addressed a wide range of questions from the guests in detail.

At the end of the afternoon, everyone went home satisfied and well-informed.

In this short video, Marie-Therese Kuijkhoven, who works at Het Muziekinstrumentenfonds, talks with Digna Schade van Westrum. She explains how important leaving a bequest to music is to her—and how easy it is for you to make such an arrangement.
