Freelancers

freelance producer

Since 2013, I've been affiliated with the Netherlands Musical Instrument Foundation as a freelance producer. My first "job" for the foundation was producing no fewer than 100 concerts during “Het Weekend van het NMF”, a collaboration with Hendrick de Keyser. It was a great success for both parties, and I've stayed working with the foundation ever since. Over the years, I've organized various festivals (such as ‘NMF Kamermuziekfestival bij Natuurmonumenten’) and occasionally ‘Presentatieconcerten’ or the ‘Presentatiefestival’ of the foundation.

I studied transverse flute at the Utrecht Conservatory with Abbie de Quant and also Art and Media Management at the HKU. My interests have always been broad, so I've taken on all sorts of other activities alongside these studies, such as completing one uni year in Art History, serving on various student orchestra boards, and taking several music history modules.

Even back then, I loved organizing. After my internship at Combattimento Consort, I landed a great job as a producer at Het Nederlands Blazers Ensemble. Over seven wonderful years, I produced wonderful tours, three state visits, and many concerts. Afterward, I worked at the Concertgebouw as a producer, initially as a permanent employee and later as a freelancer. I now work as a freelance producer, business manager, or project leader for various festivals, ensembles, and orchestras.

But the Netherlands Musical Instrument Foundation remains one of my favorite clients, especially because the atmosphere at the office is so warm and welcoming.
