Teresa Caleiro

My name is Teresa Caleiro (2003) and I come from Portugal. I play the viola since I am 7 years old, and I am currently studying with Sven Tepl and Marjolein Dispa at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I feel incredibly grateful to have been given the opportunity by the NMF to have a beautiful bow and instrument, that contribute so much to my development as a musician!

My name is Teresa Caleiro (2003) and I am a violist.

I was born in Lisbon, and started my musical studies at the age of 3. I started playing the viola when I was 7 years old.

In 2021, I came to the Netherlands to  study with Sven Tepl and Marjolein Dispa at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

Right now, I will stay in Amsterdam to pursue my Masters studies and I couldn’t be happier: I am very lucky to be a member of Florestan Piano Quartet, to play with major orchestras in the country and to establish my life as a musician here. Thanks to Het Muziekinstrumentenfonds I have the chance to play in a beautiful Cuypers viola (1776) and Panhaleux bow (1993).
