My name is Katerina Papakostaki a young cellist from Greece. Living and studying music in the Netherlands gave the opportunity to meet and learn music from great artists and musicians and to expand my musical aspirations and ideas.
I completed my bachelor studies in cello playing with Prof. Timora Rosler in HKU-Utrechts Conservatorium. During that time I had the opportunity to be part of NJO and travel in the Netherlands and Europe playing beautiful music with aspiring conductors and talented students from all over the world. I am now studying my masters course in the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, in the class of Olsi Leka. Het Muziekinstrumentenfonds offered me the opportunity to upgrade my playing and equipment by borrowing a beautiful bow from there collection.
My aspiration as a cellist is to basically try and experiment with every kind of music will come on my way. I want to expand and enlarge my musical experience and taste to its maximum and keep on learning new and different ideas, cultures and ways of musical expressions!
