Since 2012 I am one of many lucky and inspired ambassadors for "Het Muziek Instrumenten Fonds". The instrument I am currently entrusted with is a beautiful handbuild violin by Ettore Soffritti. He build the violin at the age of 35 in Ferrara, northern Italy, during the year 1912.
At the age of four I fell in love with the violin while watching an orchestra play on television. Thanks to this moment several events unfolded.
At the age of thirteen I got accepted into the "Academie Muzikaal Talent" at the Conservatory of Utrecht. Five years later I traveled every Tuesday from my High School in Hilversum to the Pre-Bachelor in Groningen and back. In 2020 I got accepted into the Pre-Bachelor at the conservatory of Amsterdam. Since 2023 I study musician 3.0 at the Conservatory of Utrecht developing myself into a broadly oriënted violinist.
Projects:
In 2023 I played solo violin with the Foundscape Orchestra. This project by sound-artist Daniel Maalman turned every room into a musical instrument. I was one of the first guest musicians that interacted with the Foundscape Orchestra rooms. The contrast between technology and the Soffritti build a bridge between old and new. At the same time the technology contradicted the human element in the performances.
In 2025 I played with Tijn Wybenga and the Utrecht Conservatory Orchestra in Tivoli Vredenburg as the singing violinist.
