Ricardo Neto (Lisbon - 1994) He studied musical studies at the age of 7 in Freixo de Espada à Cinta Philharmonic Band. In 2008, Ricardo really decides to continue a professional career and joins the School of Arts of Mirandela in the double bass class or Professor Alexandre Storojouk, where he concluded his high School with the highest grade.
In 2014 Ricardo travels to Holand to continue his studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam having as teachers Olivier Thiery and Rick Stotijn. In 2018 Ricardo concludes his Bachelor also with a maximum grade.
He participated in several Masterclasses where he worked with Professor Manuel Rêgo, Vladimir Kousnetsov, Katalin Rotaru, Edicson Ruiz, Luís Cabrera, Matthew McDonald, Renaud Garcia Fons, among others.
He participated in the Youth Portuguese Orchestra where he received the scholarship student in the partnership with Youth Portuguese Orchestra and Junior Department of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (London) were he Performed a Solo recital.
He has participated in several young orchestras such as Young Portuguese Orchestra, Young National Orchestra of Spain, Young National Orchestra of the Netherlands and Gustav Mahler Jogendorchester.
Member of Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra since 2018, Ricardo also collaborates with Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Camerata RCO, Portuguese Chamber Orchestra, Dutch Philharmonic Orchestra, where he had an opportunity to work with the most prestigious artists of the day such as Danielle Gatti, Valery Gergiev, Mariss Janson, Lahav Shani, Yannick Nézet Séguin, Riccardo Chailly, Daniel Baremboim and others.
At the age of 25, he has performed in England, Holland, Portugal, Spain and Italy and is preparing to publish his first Method of Study for Double Bass.
Ricardo Neto plays an instrument built by the English Luthier Derek High of 2007, kindly Loaned by National Musical Instruments Founds (Holland).
